Jean-Jacques Degroof is a successful venture investor who has split his time between Europe and Boston over the past 30+ years. He has effectively contributed to the growth of several successful businesses since the 1990s. Jean-Jacques Degroof was instrumental in the development of a venture that re-envisioned mobility in modern cities. With his help, the company’s value grew to nine figures.

In addition to his activities as a venture investor in the US and Belgium, Jean-Jacques Degroof is a teacher focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. Although he has spent many years teaching at business schools throughout Europe, he has recently started to focus more on mentoring young technology entrepreneurs develop their business plans and achieve profitability.

Jean-Jacques Degroof completed a MS and a Ph.D in management with the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He remains involved with the school as a member of the MIT Educational Council, visiting committees, advisory boards, and a contributor to various projects and special programs. He graduated summa cum laude from both the Catholic University of Louvain’s School of Management and the Institute of Labor Studies with a degree in organizational behavior and industrial relations.
